Wouldn't you buy Kool-Aid from this cute pair?
Aubrey got it into her head that she wanted to sell Lemonade. And once she makes up her mind, it's hard to convince her otherwise. But, she forgot that the day before, she had used the last of the lemonade to mix in with the Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid. So we had a concoction of L2Lm (that's double lemon + lime for you non science folk). It was very interesting.
Since the drink was already made, Aubrey set about making her "Table" to put it all on. She found three boxes and stacked them on top of each other. Then, she made a sign that was totally illegible. So, I helped out and made one that you could actually read. The kids went out front and waited, and waited, and waited (we don't live on a very busy street). Finally, a shirtless and very hairy old man came up and purchased a cup. Plus, he gave the kids a tip for working so hard in the scorching heat.
In addition to this customer, I purchased a drink and provided money for William and Aubrey to get one too. Then Dad came home and got a drink (plus a tip), and two of the neighbor boys came over.
Once the kids were out of L2Lm they decided it was time to put it all away and come inside. We counted up the money and divided it in half. They each made $0.74! Yes that is correct...less than a dollar each (hey, it was only 10 cents a cup). But, they had a great time, and it helped keep everyone happy because they had something to do.
What an entrepreneurial girl I have.
I wonder where she gets that from!

Hey Cami! Thanks for looking at our site. It's always fun to get new viewers. I hope you don't mind if I checked out yours. Your kids are old now too. I can't believe how quickly time goes by. How old is your little girl, Brooke? Also, I saw your favorite movie list: "Dear Frankie"--Chad and I happened upon it and were so excited to find the little gem. Anyhow, your website's great.
adda-girl!!
That is so sweet. I'm so proud of her...and William. Especially for sitting out in the hot Texas weather. Way to go kiddos.
