I know we've been home for almost a week, but I haven't had a chance to put anything on here. So...now that Brooke is sleeping and William and Aubrey are at school, I think I will ignore everything else and try to post stuff.
We just spent 11 days in Utah and here is a rough outline of what it looked like:
Fly into SLC and drive to Heber City (1 day)
Go to Manti and then the Cabin (2 days)
Back to Heber (3 days)
Back to Manti and the Cabin (3 days)
Heber yet again (2 days)
Fly home (1 day)
We figured it out, and we spent at least 14 hours driving. But, it was all worth it. The kids had a great time, and we loved seeing all of our family and even some friends.
We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my parents cabin. Then, Mark and Mary went there with us for New Years Eve. We had to Snowcat and Snowmobile in...the snow is too deep for other vehicles to get in. It was secluded, quiet, and beautiful. Plus, Elliott couldn't get calls on his cell phone. That was a definite BONUS!
We also go to spend some time with Elliott's brothers and sister and their families. We did all the annual events: the shopping trip with no kids, and the "Guess how much $ is in the Jar" game. Unfortunately we did NOT win the $105.66. Maybe next year!
Aubrey also got to spend her birthday out in Utah. She loves it because she gets a party in Manti, a party in Heber, and another party when she gets home. And, this year she turned 7, so she got her ears pierced. It was a fun day.
In addition to all these fun things we saw family, ate good food, had family pictures, ate more food, went ice skating, ate even MORE food, and played with cousins a lot. As you can guess, I think I gained 10 pounds. Oh well, it was worth it.
Well, that's about it. We hope everyone else had a great Christmas. I will post some pictures as soon as I can (hopefully in a few minutes).
