Aubrey has had a very busy week. Last Thursday was her Summer Piano Recital. She played "A Little Night Music" and "Tap Dance." She did great. {William was her camera man}
Then, on Saturday, Aubrey had her Ballet Recital. Unfortunately, she has a crazy mom that forgot the video camera and cell phone. So, not only could I not record the dress rehearsal, but I couldn't call Elliott and have him bring me the camera. I was very sad.
You may ask why I didn't just record the performance. That would be because the Ballet Academy contracted with a video company to record it, so we are not allowed to take pictures of any kind during the performance. Yes, I know it stinks. But, I did get a few still shots of her leaping, and bowing and dancing.

For the recital, she was able to wear makeup, and boy was she excited. Plus, Elliott and William gave her flowers, so everything was perfect. She looked beautiful, and she performed perfectly.

Finally, today Aubrey had her Awards Ceremony for her 1st Grade class. She received the Library Award and the A Honor Roll Award. It was a good chance for me to spend time alone with Aubrey, no younger kids were allowed. She has Field Day tomorrow, and then Thursday is her last day and she gets out early. Yeah!

Aubrey is my amazing little girl. And I am sad to say that I won't be able to call her 'little' for much longer. She is growing up way too quickly.
Aubrey is kind and loving and has so many friends. Everywhere she goes, people are always saying "Hi."
Her fun loving personality always shines through.
I love you!

Such sweet notes about each of your kids. You have such a sweet family.
I get such a sense that Aubrey is going to grown into an amazing young woman. She is a doll and so talented!
We are so proud of you Aubrey. We love the last picture. You guys are twins.
Okay, when I saw her at the recital, I literally thought to myself, "Elliott is in serious trouble in a couple of years!"
She is just so pretty!
Aubrey is so beautiful! I miss not teaching her this year in primary (you'd think I'd be tired after almost two years of her, huh.) She has many talents, but I think my favorite is her strong desire to make everyone feel included combined with "helpfulness" that just bubbles out of her. I love you, Aubrey!
