"The rules of soccer are very simple, basically it is this: if it moves, kick it. If it doesn't move, kick it until it does." - Phil Woosnam, 1974
William went to the Stricker Soccer Camp this week. He was excited and pumped and ready to go.
The first morning we showed up bright and early at 8:30 am and he didn't even complain. They gave him a new ball and then he calmly said, "Good bye Mom." and I took off.
On Tuesday he got the "Hustle of the Day Award." He was very excited. He got a coupon for a free kid's meal at Chili's.
On Friday, all of the parents were invited to come watch the kids scrimmage. I decided to go watch him and see how he was doing.
He was moving faster and trying harder than he had all season. Plus, he was excited to go everyday because they made it so much fun for the kids.
I was just impressed that he was actually running in the 95+ heat. Considering it had been 95+ all week long and he didn't complain once, that was fantastic. I, however, was dying in the heat. I felt like I was melting!
I was so proud of William and how well he did this week. He also go an award for The Best Attitude of the Week.
What a great soccer player!
