The lesson began with a story about two girls, Kim and Lily. They are best friends and they have both been recently baptized. Because they have been baptized, their spirits are clean and white (here comes the visual aide) like a bowl of salt.
One day Kim and Lily go on a walk to the store. While they are there, Kim takes a candy bar without paying for it (Aubrey pours some pepper into Kim's bowl of salt). Now Kim's spirit is no longer clean.
At church on Sunday, Kim is talking to the Bishop and she tells him about what she did, and she explains that she feels really bad. The bishop says, "You know there is something you can do to make that feeling go away. It's called repentance."
So, Kim goes home and prays for forgiveness, and then the next day she goes to the store and gives the candy bar back. She had been keeping it in the freezer. Then, she also pays for it - just to be safe.
Now that Kim has repented, her black (pepper) spots have been removed and her bowl is now full of clean white salt.
The end.
Aubrey did a great job. She prepared the bowls with salt and pepper, plus she even wrote down part of her story.
I was really proud of her and how well she did. What a great little girl.

Great work on the lesson. Does she hire out - maybe my kids would sit more quietly if she came and taught at our FHEs. My kids are sure wiggleworms.
She is a darling girl. I think she is going to do great things in her life!
thank you
