Brooke is always keeping me on my toes. She loves to pull everything out of it's spot, and make a mess. Of course she won't play with all of the toys we have. She has to play with the shoes, or the cereal, or the DRUMS!!! {her personal favorite}
And look at that hair! This is what she looks like every morning. At least she's happy.
Last Sunday, Brooke wouldn't sit still in Sunday School. She only has two weeks until she goes to Nursery, so I decided to try and take her in. The ladies in there had a very difficult class, so I volunteered to stay and help if they would let me bring Brooke. Of course they agreed, they had no idea what they were in for.
Brooke did okay for the first little while, but then she bit a little boy. As the teacher said, "Oh, that was bad. Really bad. It almost broke through the skin."
After I sat her in the corner, she promptly got out and went and bit another kid. This time, as I was holding the crying and hurt child, the teacher came and took her from me and went out the door. I felt really stupid.
A few minutes later, Brooke bit yet another child - yes, that is THREE children. She hasn't even started Nursery and I'm sure they want to kick her out already. After the third incident, I picked up Brooke and left. I figured I was being more of a hindrance than a help.
To quote Aubrey, "We have two weeks to teach Brooke how to be nice."
Do you think it will work?
I have to admit, though, that Brooke can be very cute. Even when she has climbed onto the table to play with the sewing machine and pins while snacking on cold cereal, she still knows how to give you that 'melt your heart' smile.
We love our little bundle of energy.

That little smile looks too sweet to hurt a fly!
Exactly the reason I had to laugh when she was biting Caroline. Not that it was funny, but she is just so little and innocent looking. Good luck with Nursery!!!!
Oh, that photo of Brooke on the table is too cute. These kids keep us on our toes, are loads of fun, but such a challenge. All my kids have bitten someone at least once. Maybe that was her one day of biting and she'll be done. I think being a parent is so challenging. There's always something I'm trying to figure out.
We can not stop laughing. I am proud of that little bully. Way to go Brooke, you teach the other kids who is boss the first day.
Brooke gets her personality from her mama!
Trust me...
Taylor was my biter...I could never figure it out, used to drive me crazy! She has always been much more calm then both her brothers, but she went through this crazy biting phase. As a parent it is so baffling, because it's not like she was learning it from me.(yelling and cussing yes, biting no way) So frustrating.
No worries, she will grow out of it. She does have a mega million smile!
We never went through the biting phase. But we did go through the hitting phase. Sophie hit people all the time and for no reason. I always felt so bad because I didn't want parents to think that i wasn't doing anything about it. But now she doesn't hit anymore
(well, except her sister).
Don't worry, she'll grow out of it. And Yes, I agree with everyone else. Her smile will make you melt!
